CARMEN'S ART REVOLUTION

Women's History Month is the perfect opportunity to resurface the incredible Women CEOs, Executives in Fortune 100 companies and entrepreneurs who are trailblazing. Truly, every day is a great opportunity to feature incredible trailblazers.

Picture this: You're standing in downtown LA at midnight. The streets are quiet, but something magical is happening. Suddenly, entire buildings light up in a symphony of colors.

Art is literally dancing across skyscrapers, and crowds are gathering, their faces glowing with wonder.

THIS IS LUMINEX

This isn't a scene from a sci-fi movie. This is Luminex, and it's the brainchild of Carmen Zella – a woman who decided that art shouldn't be locked away in galleries. Carmen Zella is the Founder & Chief Curator of NOW Art, a 360° public art agency and NXT Art Foundation a 501 c 3 organizations whose mission is to activate, inspire and advocate for public art that advances creative expression in communities and creates discourse.

Now, Imagine being told that street art isn't 'real art.'

That light shows belong in Vegas, not LA. That women don't belong in the urban art scene.

Now imagine saying "watch me" and proving everyone wrong.

That's Carmen's story. And in our latest episode, she spills all the tea:

In this episode of Driving impact, I sit with Award Winning Art Curator Carmen Zella

  1. How she went from spray-painting London alleyways to lighting up LA's skyline

  1. The time she revived a failed '70s art project and turned it into the talk of the town

  1. Why she believes AI might be the next big thing in street art (spoiler: it's wild!)

But here's the real kicker – Carmen isn't just making pretty lights. She's starting a revolution. In her world, art isn't something you view from behind velvet ropes. It's something that stops you in your

tracks on your way home from work.

It's something that makes you look up from your phone and think: "Wow, I never saw my city like this before."

Want to know the best part? She's just getting started.

-> Now, I'm curious: What's the coolest street art you've ever seen?

-> P.S. Know someone who needs a dose of creative rebellion in their life? Send this blog post their way.
